Short version: the calculators run in your browser and we don't see what you type into them. We only collect your email if you subscribe to the newsletter.

What we collect and why

Calculators

Calculations happen in your browser. The numbers you enter aren't sent to us. When you change a calculator, your inputs are added to the page address so you can bookmark or share the result; that address stays on your device unless you share it.

The currency converter asks Frankfurter (frankfurter.dev), a public exchange-rate service, for rates. Your browser contacts that service directly, so it receives your IP address and the currencies requested, as with any website.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we collect your email address and the page you subscribed from. We use it only to send the newsletter. The newsletter is delivered by beehiiv, which stores your address and records opens and clicks. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.

Purchases

Money Toolkit purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects the payment and billing details it needs and shares your name, email and order details with us so we can support your purchase.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs (IP address, date, page requested, browser type) to keep the site secure and working. Logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to identify you.

Cookies

We do not currently set any cookies for advertising or analytics.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers named above, who process data on our behalf, and authorities where the law requires it. Some providers are based in the United States; where data leaves your country, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. Email hello@dollarsworld.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
